This year we took part in the Aberdeen City Christmas Parade for the first time. We decided to put on a show and put together a real Ukrainian vertep. Vertep is a staple of Ukrainian Christmas, a tradition dating back centuries, which is a re-enactment of the nativity scene using puppets, decorations, and costumes. We proudly marched down Union Street representing our culture and traditions along many other local groups.
